Last weekend, I had 3 seperate instances of the wrong page coming up after a search. page no on the image different to the page no on the footer at the bottom right hand side.
I sent three seperate contact forms asking for refund of the 3 x 5 credits I had to use to then view the correct page.
7 days later - nothing. No acknowledgement of my query, let alone refund of the credits!
Will send another contact tomorrow night methinks.
Ellen.

Hi Ellen,
I had a positive experience recently. I just could not find the one for which I was searching using every wildcard combination that I could think of to use. I continued to get the same wrong person. I filled out a contact form as I was SURE it was indexed incorrectly. It took a bit over a week, but I received a message from Roslyn Robertson Scotland's People New Register House with the exact location of the file on the site and all the information for the individual as well. The name on the marriage and death records was one given name, while the individual was given a totally different name at birth.
The response time was longer than in the past. So hopefully you will get some answers this coming week.
Catherine

2872 CENSUS - WATCH OUT
I too had problems with the 1871 census. The pages were wrong when I viewed. I contacted Roslyn Robertson from Scotlands People who sent photo copies of the correct entries. In my opinion they were much clearer than the records that you pay to view, and they were also enlarged making it so easy to read. I also couldn't find a relative that I knew lived in Cowdenbeath. Checked under his wifes name and age. Low and behold he was there and guess what? He gave his age as 57 when in fact he was 76 and still a working miner.
