It seems that life was one struggle after another for this family and although I’ve managed to get a lot of information on some of them I’m completely stuck on others, mainly the girls for the usual reasons. I’m trying to discover what happened to these poor wee orphans in adulthood, if they lived that long, and because of various problems that keep cropping up, such as the listing of male as female, misspelling of names, incorrect ages, not forgetting the naming system in Scotland and the number of Websters in Ceres/Fife, it has been very difficult. (Although earlier than I’m researching at present, the 1861 census for the family have four James Websters in the same household. On the 1851 census there are three, but the youngest of those, a 2-year old, is listed as a son-in-law
So … if anyone can help with this family I would be eternally grateful! Thanks for having a look anyway, whether or not you have any suggestions.
