What on earth is this occupation??? .....

Post by PaulaD » Sun Feb 04, 2007 8:51 pm

Have just found one of my rellies on Ancestry 1861 census. On 41 and 51 he was an innkeeper but now aged 64 it states:

occupation - Bone Dead Manny employing 8 men and 4 women :?

He's only a very side line so don't really want to waste credits on SP.
Anybody got any ideas :?: :?:
The sillier the better :!:

Searching for Barclay Aberdeenshire, Stewart Edinburgh, Brown Edinburgh & Uphall, Finlayson E Lothian, Fairley & Renton E & W Lothian for starters!

 In case Paula doesn't get back soon, I did a search for a Bone Dead Manny in 1861 and curiously, there is only one in all Scotland :!:
He is: Willian Fraser, 64, born Bonhill, Dumbartonsh
Census place: Broxburn, Uphall, West Lothian

His wife is Margaret Feaser

Regards,
Sarah

You should be pround to be a descendant of the only Bone Dead Manny in all of Scotland

What an honour :!:

I can see we're going to have to pay you a bit more respect on this forum, now that we know your heritage

Respectfully,
Sarah
