Census Help Please .....

Hiya

I am wondering inf anyone can help me. I am trying to find out where about my 3x great grandfather came from in Scotmland, His Name was John Vernon and he was born abt 1840. By 1864 John was living in Liverpool. I do not no much more about John so If any one can find him in the 1851 census, this would be a great help.

Depending on transcriptions (often variable) I can see only one John Vernon in 1841 in Scotland of the right age

Virgina St Aberdeen St Clements
John Vernon age 1 born in County

Probably family
Chas Vernon 25 boilermaker born England
Margt Vernon 25 born England
William 10 born England
Christiana 4 born England

In 1851, I find a different John :? :?

7 Bell's Wynd Kirkmabreck Kirkcudbrightshire
Mary Vernon 47 head born England

John Vernon 10 son born Kirkmabreck
Anne Vernon 4 daur born Kirkmabreck

Perhaps you can tell from other data which one is yours?
