Hi Cathy,

They are there, but mis-transcribed onto the index. Search for MARJORY LOMES, age 14 to find half of the family. The younger two are over on page 16 (yes another 5 credits).

Or search for LOMES (with no first name or age) to see them all in the index. On page 15, they are definitely Lorn, but on page 16, it is a bit messier and that is probably where the Lomes came from.

If you have lost credits at SP, making searches with the wrong results for you, let them know and they should refund some credits to your account. Also, ask them to look at the images and consider re-indexing them as Lorn.

All the best,

AndrewP

Many thanks Andrew.
I've spent a small fortune this weekend on mistranscriptions.

Can you work your magic for 1861 :?:

Alexander Lorn 1861

Hi Cathy,
Unless there is another man of a similar name, age, and birthplace,
then it looks like your Alexander was a boarder in 1861.
But wife Agnes & the children aren't with him.
(this Alexander is with a George METHVIN / METHVEN, 44, b Dundee)
But i don't know what surname SP has Alexander under.
The CD index i have has him as LOVRAINE.
