I have found a Lizzie Bonner on the 1891 census living at 42 Allanton Row, Hamilton, she's 17 and a scholar (which I find odd).
She is stated as the daughter of the head of the house hold - James.
For her birthplace they have down Lanarkshire, Blantyre, so I've been looking for her birth cert, for around 1874ish, but I can't find anything.
I'm guessing she was Elizabeth, or am I being dim?

Elizabeth Bonnar
Hi Miss Pooh's
I've found on (SP) a BC for Elizabeth Bonnar born Aug 31'st 1884 to James and Rose Ann Bonnar (m.s. Colquhoun). 60 Hall St, Blantyre. the parents were married in 1859 - St. Johnstone (Ireland).
Is this your relation? Also do you think Elizabeth was a change of life baby as it is quite a long time after the parents marriage.?

That's the one - ta muchly.
I see what's happened.
Elizabeth is on the 1891 census as being 17, so 1891-17= 1874, so I'd been looking 5yrs either side of that.
She must have been 7 - not 17, that's why I couldn't find her.
