Pre 1841 Censuses (Landsborough Lists) .....
1819, 1822 and 1836. These are the years that Doctor Landsborough the local minister in the Stevenston / Saltcoats area in Ayrshire recorded details of the occupants of the district. Guid luck! Let me know if you have success. Three Scottish censuses 1819 -1822 -1836

Hi Hughie
I agree it's a great site and I have been fortunate to find some of my McKenzies and Sheddens there in the past. Without the Landsborough Census I would be nowhere near as well informed as I am on the McKenzie line.

Thanks CatrionaL and AnneM,
Great to hear the Landsborough List has helped you AnneM. I do remember seeing your Mckenzie and Shedden queries at various points on the net going back some years. I might have perhaps been in contact with you at one stage regarding the Shedden name in Ardrossan. From my recollections as a wee boy they had a joiners business in Barr Street Ardrossan.
