Andy would you mind if I made use of the info.you found for kaz on this family of Lauries.John and Agnes are my Great,Great,Great Grandparents.I spent about 3 hours yesterday sorting some names she had been given by someone but hadn't had a chance to check. There were several names I did not have on my branch so I started checking to make sure they were accurate.5 of the names didn't have the right parents when checked on the LDS and the names and dates for John's parents were out by about 20 years.I checked all this on SP to be sure and again got the same results with no connection.I sent kaz my info.which included the births of the children and had planned on getting my cousin to do a look up for me when he goes up from Glasgow or waiting till I had a chance myself when I go over in the fall.I realize she is ready to work on this branch now and does not want to wait and that's fine, but it would seem silly if I did not make use of this golden opportunity here on the forum. However I would never use someones research without asking and risk steping on toes.

Hi jack,

thank you for your help.I was given the info that John Lawrie's parents were John Lawrie and Annie Kirkland, this info was given to me by a descendant on the Lawrie side and i am finding it to be very wrong in lots of places.

thank you again

Thanks Andy,

I'll certainly get those earlier censuses asap - i've a rather large backlog to clear up first....

Glen & Moncrieff streets are both off Love St, and both must also be very near to 50 Love St where brother William was in 1881. Your "Birds of a Feather" theory in force once again!
