Where is/was Glenivach and Tirvanie in Ross-shire

Hi
I am trying to locate where Glenivach and Tirvanie was that appear in some OPR's between 1849 and 1855 in my family research. These names also appear in the 1851 Census. These records are for Contin Parish and appear with Corrievuic and Corriefeol, so believe are nearby. I think Glenivach could be "Glenuaig", but would like this confirmed.

Les, a relative of mine was once working at Strathvaich, north of Garve, I think that's what you're after.

Not a very populated part of the country.

You mention you have found them in the 1851 census,
have you tried looking at the result in Freecen?
[1851 for Contin Parish is there]
That way you can work your way around the area by clicking the 'next/previous household' buttons and find out the names of the neighbouring properties,
and get an idea of the location that way.
