Hi Dollard
There is a Stewart Scott (female) born 1891, Leith, on SP. Could that maybe be her?
Best wishes

Hi Dollard,
Stewart Scott's 1891 birth is there on ScotlandsPeople. Her twin brother is on the same page - two certificates for the price of one. That gives the parents' marriage date and place. From that, their marriage certificate is easily found. That gives their parents' names. The twins were born a few months after the census.
Although they were married a month before the 1881 census, he was at his parents' house on census night. She was with three of her sisters and a niece that night. The couple and three of their sons were together for the 1891 census. All of the above records are from Leith.
All the best,
AndrewP

I think it's me who's the ninny for quoting Stewart's name wrong in the first place. When I did my search on SP I used St*rt.dollard wrote:LesleyB and AndrewP thank you very much. I searched for Stuart but didn't try Stewart. Sometimes I feel like such a ninny. Sometimes I wonder if I am getting too old to do this.
Kind regards,
Annette M
