Any reason to suspect they are related? Besides the address and the occupation, of course. Were Daniel & family born in Ireland also? Sorry to keep asking questions back and forth, but Ancestry seems to be overloaded today and refuses to search for me. I keep getting that annoying little boy who tells me to come back later

I wonder if they married in the same year also

Daniel and Mary were married Nov. 1873 Glasgow
Not sure when Matthew and Mary were wed,
but on James and Margarets mc 1897, James address was 3 Bright st, and one of their witness's was an Ellen Kelly, and there is an Ellen Quinn in Daniels family, could be his cousin! does this make sense?

I managed to get Ancestry to work for a second. See anything familiar about Daniel's address in 1901? He is living alone.
Mount Pleasant (garngad Rd), Glasgow Townhead, Dennistoun, Lanarkshire
Daniel Queen, 54, Head, born Ireland, Chemical Furnaceman
Heh heh. I think they're out to get you

This is something else to add a bit of confusion.
there was a James Quinn 1875-1945 who played football for Celtic fc, now my mother-in-law who is 92 by the way, said that our James played for Celtic, but I can not find anything to prove this!, we don't know how she came by this info, she does get a bit confused sometimes, but it did seem a strange thing for her to say

Have you tried to find records of the football club? I have a vague memory that somewhere on talking scot in the past year or so someone else had a football question that might be relevant...
k You can see just how sharp I am this evening, confusion right and left, and I'm not even close to 92!
Although my dear mother, who lived to be 91, came up with some interesting comments sometimes, so I have a good role model to follow

later: Here it is: http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4378
There is an email address to send question about the Celtics... might be worthwhile?

Just to let you know I found James dc 1925 age 49, in Garngadhill, still can't seem to find his birth
or bother matthew Quinn b1880
k
Sandra
p.s. -No relation to Celtic James Quin, he didn't die until 1945, so still no famous ancestors
