Thanks for the thoughts Alan - I think it may be more likely that there were some issues with it - as opposed to the estate taking years to settle - purely based on personal experience of the latter - but I will query PROV. I found one will incorrectly linked (a little frustrating) so I sent that on as well, have yet to receive a reply but hope to do so.

I received replies to both my queries from PROV

- one series of wills contains some incorrect linking which they are working to correct - but they sent me a direct link to the will I wished to see, so that was most helpful.

- In regard to the blocked will - apparently some files have been closed for conservation purposes and were not filmed. I can ask that it be examined & it may be opened, but will not be online - they sent all the details of visiting the reading rooms - I doubt I'll be in Melbourne in the near future - but perhaps one day.
