Given that a 1932 passenger list shows Raymina S K WHELDON as aged 16, a d.o.b. of 23.02.16 fits excellently.
The last piece of the jigsaw is her death, - <after 1960> from the GRO death index.

Many, many thanks to you all. It's amazing the information which is available and I shall spend a few hours checking all the links and the names. We thinks we live in an information age now but it was always there just more difficult and interesting to find. Again many thanks. Mauree =D>

Alan
Thanks.
The ROBERTSONs, including two kids, regularly turn up in the BT26 and BT27 incoming and outgoing passenger lists but we're getting perilously close to naming living people.
miw - PM me if you want details of the kids.

Hi all, Quickly while the tatties boil I assume that the trip to Skye was to visit relations or places of Christina Matheson Wheldon nee McIntosh whose father was Archibald McIntosh, Beakish, Skye, as per the notice of the marriage in 1915 which appears in the Helensburgh & Gareloch Times of Wednesday June 9th, 1915, By Cable. Re: Helensburgh to Manchuria
As this thread contained many references to dates outwith the TS cut-off dates some posts have been edited. Although TS aims to help with family history research, we try to avoid more recent births deaths and marriages, as outlined in Essential Reading:
Talking Scot & mentioning living or recent persons
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6601
Please respect those who may be close relatives of recently deceased persons and avoid posting such details on forum.
Thanks.

Re: Helensburgh to Manchuria
Hi miw
I found this website by accident whilst researching family history.
Christina Macintosh was my Grandmothers sister and I came across this after my brother had been researching Duncan Wheldons (my fathers cousin)service record.
I have photo`s of Duncan and other members of the Wheldon family which I can post if you like. This link has filled in a few gaps in our family history, although I was aware that they had spent many years in the Far East I did not know that they had been married in Manchuria.
I also vaguely recall visiting one of my fathers relations in Dorset many years ago, which I would think would be Eype.

Hello CJM Skye and ![TS welcome [TS_welcome]](./images/smilies/TS_welcome.png)
I hope Maureen sees your message! If not, try sending her a PM. She hasn't been on the forum for nearly a year, but if she still has the same email address, she should get notification of your post.
All the best,
Sarah

Sarah
Thanks for that.
I hope that I can get in touch as I there is quite a bit of information that I can source for her.
Other members of my family know a bit more of this branch than I do and I will be getting in touch to pick their brains.
Thanks again
