I need someone to identify a parish in Aberdeen please

I've had a look at the image of the original and it looks far more like Old Don than Old Deer to me. The full place of birth is given as Parish of Old Don, Aberdeen. You're lucky to get that much detail - it usually just says Scotland! (And the Superintendent Registrar has added the occasional note to some of the entries so that for this paricular entry, under the column 'If 1) Deaf and Dumb 2) Blind 3) Lunatic 4) Imbecile, feeble-minded', is the simple statement 'Scot'

If it's any help, he doesn't appear to be in Wales in 1891 but there are 4 entries in England in 1891 for an Alexander Robertson born Scotland in 1870 +/- 1 so if you can't find him in Scotland it would be worth looking at these.

Hi Annette,

I think your transcript could be him but like I said to Mary it would still be only guess work at this stage. I need confirmation of the father first then I can work through the census. Now i know which part of Aberdeenshire I'm looking at.
