David  :(

You almost put me off malts with that description!
Ice
"Dilute it with some more from that bottle please"

Fortunately I recovered my equilibrium and composure by the last line.

To be put off would have been disaster. What would I do with a dozen or so bottles (all different) that I still have to test???

And, before you ask, I will not send you my address so you can come and help with the trials!

Russell
Working on: Oman, Brock, Miller/Millar, in Caithness.
Roan/Rowan, Hastings, Sharp, Lapraik in Ayr & Kirkcudbrightshire.
Johnston, Reside, Lyle all over the place !
McGilvray(spelt 26 different ways)
Watson, Morton, Anderson, Tawse, in Kilrenny

As Thrall wrote about killing two burdies wi wan stane, and Russel hinted that only drinking cheap hooch kills the liver.

Oh well then my liver must be well and truly ready for a jeely jar. Drinking beer and searching on SP  I guess I am doomed

Where does the inspeeration come from, quaffing a minor instigator of quiescence Stewl?, not that I should be one to criticise.

To return to the thread, what would be our thoughts be on the original question, given that we are well advanced into February?

Not to worry, while censuses remain offline, the coffers of SP remain also relatively vacant, and the filthy lucre accruing in our pockets can be used for better refreshing purchases.

BTW David, unfortunately no access outside UK to the SMWS; bit of
discrimination there........

Whisky may not cure the common cold..
but it fails more agreeably than most other things.

Hello all,

I do not think that I am betraying any confidences by stating that the User Group will receive the 1851 census for testing early next week and that we asked for up to a week to complete our tests.

John

Many thanks John - I'm waiting 'impatiently" - One of my families came to Oz in 1852 - my first time to find them on a census :D :D

Ye widni ask if ye´d met a carnaptious Icelandic customs officer; travellers tremble as they approach the "naethin tae declare" gate, wi a wee bumph o´ unpasteurised Cheddar! Try them wi a bottle o´Swedish usqebae, chill-filtered or not; see http://www.mackmyra.se/default.php and they widni mind keeping it chust fer them sels. We´re on an island and that means keep it out or pay to the hilt.

I´ve just imported five pulks to Iceland; the extra duty and costs amounted to 47%. Now we´re waiting for snow, wid ye believe.

All the best - Dauvit, I ken ye meant well,.......... :? A'm hoping a don´t get telt off fur this post - last time a lapsed into the semi vernacular........and didnie show right respect................ Rudeness!

Orraverybest,

Thrall

Ps. Ma brither´s coming on a wee veesit next week wi his good lady and her faither so stocks may recover if they dinni tak too many refreshments themsells......
