Post by Jack » Sun Mar 26, 2006 1:10 am

Hi Isabel,
Then there's also a Glasgow Poor Relief record dated 22nd Dec 1902 for Antoni ROSSINI (23).
(parents - John Rossini & Jessie Burns)
His wife is Isabella PORTER, and he was at 50 Bell Street.

Hi Isabel,
This looks quite good for Isabella BISHOP's family - though i haven't found Janet and family in Glasgow 1851.
But ALL the girls could've been married by then - including Barbara, and not forgetting mother Janet too!

Hi Isabel,
You probably can't find them on FreeCEN because they aren't as yet online.
It's always worth checking the Scottish status page to see what is.

http://www.freewebs.com/mmjeffery/index.htm

But FreeCEN probably have a different transcriber from the 1841 index i've used,
and he or she may see the Rasue/Rosina name as something else....
Jack
ps, mind that ages in 1841 were "rounded down", so 15 means 15 to 20 yrs.
If you click on the Census link at the top of TS you'll get a good explanation of all the censuses.
