John, it would seem you've yet another name version for John...CONNACHAN

(but this is possibly because of the 28yr old boarder Thomas of that name?)
I was wrong thinking John might've been in Greenock 1861, and he has certainly shaved a good few years off...!

Jean mentioned mother Eliza(beth) was as alive on the MCs of Helen 1861, and Thomas 1862.
(well done in tracing Thomas' marriage to his "Swedish" wife Mary back to Glasgow!)
Is there now some doubt that John
didn't make an error with Eliza WOOD as the mother of wee Jane born 1857?
You'll notice this Elizabeth is living in
Bothwell Street 1861 - where wee Jane died in 1859 (just a coincidence...?).
She has a rather unusual birthplace, and so it might be worthwhile finding John CONNACHER & wife Eliza(beth) WOOD in 1851.
