Dear All
Very glad to find out that it's not just me this happens to! I've got about 14 pages of searches and it's really hard when you think they're in name order and so do another search only to find the whole lot weren't sorted and you've already done the search!!!
I've also used a sort on the type ie census, location, etc and this has same problem - they don't seem to stay sorted!
Something allowing us each to search within our own results and retain that order until we change it, would be brilliant - wonder if SP will resist because it will save us money??? It can't be beyond the powers that be to work that one out....

You just need to click/double click on the word at the top of the column and it sorts - well it should!!

Thanks for mentioning the sort option. I wasn't aware of it and plan to use it. I don't have too many, so hopefully, I won't have a problem with it.
An alternative, in the meantime, might be to set up a file on your PC, into which you could copy the info and drop it into a programme which you could sort?
If you opened your file and minimized it while you were searching on SP, it would be available to pop up for you to reference, without moving away from the search page.
I've created a shortcut to my folder of certificates which I regularly access as I search, which I find helpful.
None of this is as helpful as having the option to do these things directly in an SP account, but may reduce the frustration level.
