Jack:

You must be my fairy godfather!! I dont know if that may be my Bridget, I have heard from other family members that the McMenemys were from Donegal, I suppose Bridget, could be from that area as well. However, On her marriage cert, her occupation is mill worker, do you think she could have changed occupations within one year??

Karen

Hi Karen,
I forgot to reply - sorry!
Suppose there is always a chance that Bridget did change occupations.
Maybe a mill worker was paid more? Better hours? Conditions?
Working in a hotel might've had even longer hours than any mill.

What a great post - proves that persistence pays off, and that the people here are very knowledgeable and happy to share their knowledge and time. Well done to Jack and Ronald.

Happy brithday too Karen!

Thank you Liz:

Ive learned more here in the last year Ive been posting, than
I ever learned in school. What started out as a goof, just playing
around on the net trying to see if I could find anyone with the last
name McMenemy, has turned into a neverending journey!!!
I try not to let a day go by without "checking in" and seeing what
the board has to offer. It is a treasure trove for sure.

Cheers
Karen
