Regarding the census certs of John Rutherford I contacted SP and they told me:
Good afternoon,
If an image has not been didgitised for the site, then there is a reason for
this.
It may be that the original is damaged in some way and to handle it for
digitising etc would potentially cause more damage - in those circumstances,
the decision wouyd be taken not to digitise it. Or it may be the original is
illegible to the point there is no point in digitising it to put it on the
site.
As the original records are not held here I cannot check the raesons for
these particular images however GROS can do that and will advise you once
they have checked these - http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/
