I will have a look at the site you have given, keeping my fingers crossed perhaps her marriage could be on there, but not knowing where she was born has always been the drawback, but will try anyway, thank you

I am just dropping by to say don't get too tied up with the parent details in relation to a marriage certificate - my grandmother gave her maternal uncle and aunt as parents as her mum had died and she'd had a parting of the ways with her dad seeing as how she was 17, 8 months pregnant and marrying a man he didn't approve of.

I was more successful matching the birth to the death and then finally accepting that the marriage that was ok in all but brides parents info was indeed the right one - I spent many hours on this both online and in person at NRH.

Thanks MaryB for the site you mentioned, however when I tried it, I found it was a bit complicated to understand (or else I am too thick to unerstand it!)
I di try putting in various headings but everything came up with no match, so I`ll need to find time to fiddle around with it to discover the correct way to use it, thanks anyway.

understandable, but to identify who Blanche is, I still need to find out where and when she was born, giving so much false information as she has done, gives me no clues to finding what her correct name is, even if she had given her correct info about a father, that would have given me some lead, but if I can`t find him either, I can`t find her!
