My previous post recommended checking what was the actual entry in the 1881 enumeration book, as opposed to what was the LDS transcription, before getting too worried about the implications of a particular entry .......
How do I do that, David?
You have to find a library that has the microfilms, or visit your nearest LDS Family History Centre.

Contact for the LDS census CDs

Cost is £29.95 by means of credit card or cheque payable to "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints."

Address as below:

LDS Distribution Centre
399 Garretts Green Lane
Birmingham B33 0UH

Fax Orders 08700 102052
Debit / Credit Card Orders 08700 102051

You have to buy the complete CD set for Scotland and England, - the Scottish CDs are no longer available separately.

Thanks for that David.

I have a growing list of stuff I need to look up on film and there is a FHC in Bristol, so I'll get myself organised and book a visit.

I think I will be getting the CD's as my son-in-law's brother is doing their English family research, so he'd benefit from them as well.
