No sign that I can see of Joseph junior's birth but he may not have been baptised in which case he would not have been registered.

I have not found Joe Sr in 1871Census

I have found Joe Jr living as a boarder at Greenock in the 1871C.

Alexander does not surface after 1861 until he appears as informant on his fathers death cert (issued at Greenock) in 1873.

Lots of droppings for Alexander after 1873. I track him good after that.

Joe Sr is listed as husband on his death cert.
