Thanks jack for all this information - I had looked at some of the entries you have given me but couldn't find a connection with the McMillan side but seeing all the entries from the census I can see the connection. Thank you.

Emanday the number of the ship is 62089 Golden Fleece Vessel lost 271285 - Drowned.

The Maritime History people on http://www.mun.ca/mha/ only have Crew Lists and Agreements for Golden Fleec 62089 up to 1883. However, that still might include your husband's GGG Grandfather's details if he was already serving on her then.
