May I add to the Faulds story when the late Bobby(Robert jnr) was torpedoed he was in the shower when it happened. His Mother had pressed upon him an old fur coat of hers for the cold night watches.
He grabbed this when abandoning ship & says it saved him & his modesty until they were rescued.

He too was a native of Tillicoultry, a beloved "Grandpa Liverpool" & a great raconteur. RIP Bobby.

That’s okay Zena and that’s a great story Joette.

One of the things I like about genealogy is that it gives people a little bit of immortality.

Hi again,

I have come back for any help with this family i have researched back to 1795 spent a fortune on certificates only now to be told by someone researching the same family that i am wrong. The Euphemia in the census we looked at is not mine i have been told as the Euphemia in the census married a William Cumming in 1906.

I have searched for my Euphemia death but to no avail to find her mothers maiden name.

To update you all the Euphemia Mckenzie i have married in 1907 to Paul Mclean her birth year is 1885 her father was Charles Mckenzie a crofter and mother Mary Mckenzie, i cant find any marriage between Charles and Mary, icant find any census with them in other than i orginally thought.

As anyone got any suggestions please.

Thank you Zena
