How Do I find the family who left Scotland 1836 to 1838??...

Will try those sites. Have tried messages on one or two others and I know they are out there as old relative in Belfast gave me info. that family's descendants were still in St. John. She gave me a lot of family lore about 10 years ago but in the last few years has dementia and is now about 90 poor soul. Am trying to make time to fill out my Scottish and Irish relations so when I've done as much as I can I'll try and do more about the Canadian connection.
