Hi

There is also a new city in Scotland called Dinder. BTW the original is perfectly legible.

Anne

PS I think the Royal Artillery may be involved there somewhere. Otherwise I can't make a guess educated or otherwise at the various occupations largely because I can't stop laughing. Husband is confirmed in his view that I've lost it totally this time.

If we keep this going Mary might not need lessons in this new language.

Meantime its getting too much for my ageing brain so I'm going to join
Robert Burn in Stirling as a Retired Phr Royalhary
The Retired bit fits comfortably
The Royal bit doesn't fit but the HARY does. (and Davie I said Hary no a wee Herry!)
So the offer of a professional 'head look' as a prize is off. I'm now retired.

The retiring russell :P
Working on: Oman, Brock, Miller/Millar, in Caithness.
Roan/Rowan, Hastings, Sharp, Lapraik in Ayr & Kirkcudbrightshire.
Johnston, Reside, Lyle all over the place !
McGilvray(spelt 26 different ways)
Watson, Morton, Anderson, Tawse, in Kilrenny

I reckon that one is Retired Sgt Royal Artillery. The last one is clearly Ploughman. The Phranaker one is probably something maker but what heaven alone knows.

Hey! No fair coaching! If you keep this up we'll all get the right answers
Shall we each give you a summary of our guesses so you don't have to search among 4 pages of posts?

Tomorrow, that is, when I've a brain again.
Good night :D
