ScotlandsPeople - to go offline 25th September 2007

Hi All,

There is an announcement on ScotlandsPeople's website to say that they will be going offline for a time on Tuesday 25-Sep-2007.
Scheduled Maintenance Tuesday 25th September.

In order to upload new features to the site, it may be necessary to take the site offline for a short time. This work will commence at 1000 hrs GMT, Tuesday 25th September.

If you are logged in to the site when this occurs, your session will automatically be terminated.

When the site becomes available you will be able to log in again as usual.

Please note that you will not lose any credits due to the outage. Any searches that have been undertaken will be available by clicking on "Previous Searches".

Please contact our help desk via scotlandspeople@scotlandonline.co.uk if you have any queries regarding this.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused during this work.

That would take the element of surprise out of it. A read at the last User Group minutes may yield some clues.

Least you could have done was add in the link to the minutes. They are very hard to find. :shock:

OPR Death Registers might be on by the end of the year? :?:
That will be a help, unfortunately it might also be a disappointment. :(
Whichever it is, at least it won't do any harm. :)

I hope Trish is right - I'm looking forward to the search by parents' names to find a birth which is supposed to be up at the end of the year = but I really think that would be pushing it... one can dream.
