I wonder if anyone is able to help to find out who was living at Crawfield Cottage, Beith , Ayrshire in 1901 - or tell me if there is a way to do it without trawling through the whole census.
My husband's grandmother was born there in 1905 - the rest of her 8 brothers & sisters having been born at various addresses in Glasgow - so why they were in Ayrshire is anyones guess !
Her mother's family came originally from Kilmarnock and Kilwinning - so if it was someone with the surname of Paton we would be delighted !
Thank you

Hi Morag,
Ancestry allows you to search by address.
It looks like there were two cottages (presumably neighbouring), and these were occupied by the following on census night 1901.
Crawfield Cottage, Beith, Ayrshire
William Barr 30
Lizzie Barr 31
William Barr 8
Christina Barr 7
James Barr 2
Crawfield Cottage, Beith, Ayrshire
Robert McKibbon 61
Sadly no Patons.
All the best,
AndrewP
