ADVICE SOUGHT – IMMIGRANTS ARRIVING WELLINGTON 1924

Post by q98 » Sun Jan 27, 2008 4:38 pm

Is someone able to advise if the passenger list of SS Ruahine which docked at Wellington on 9th August 1924 is available on-line?

I have a “souvenir” ship’s programme (probably printed in advance), which lists all the passengers but I believe one of my ancestors did NOT emigrate although his name is listed.

Hi Jim
A quick Google revealed the following:

which may be of use. Hope it is still an open offer...

Best wishes

Thanks LesleyB, it's my offer. The vessel's "souvenir" programme has my ancestor's name in it along with other family members. However, I believe he did NOT emigrate. Ergo, I would like to check if he landed at Wellington in 1924.
