Thankyou for the prompt reply. I found the info that i sent to the list on Freecen, 1841 search, they are not on the 1851 on Freecen. I have not tried Scotlands People as yet, but will have a look there.

Just a wee note here...
...Ancestry in 1861 has six McDougall children, plus a nurse & a servant as also staying with Archibald.
But they are actually in house schedule 66.
Those six children's parents (James McDougall & Agnes Malcolm) are in Laurieston.

Thanks for bringing this up, Jack -- I've been meaning to say something of the kind. This happens ALL TOO FREQUENTLY Always check the household schedule number when looking up census information on Ancestry, since the household groups as sorted on the index are quite often incorrect!
