Could I please request a census look-up for the follwing family.
1841 - 1851 if possible.

James ROSS, Merchant, TAIN, Aberdeenshire/Ross-Cromarty
Ann Thompson ROSS

Alexander ROSS

Hellen ROSS

Ann Maria ROSS,

Maria ROSS,

Willina ROSS,

Hi Leanne,
Of all the children, only Maria's birth is an extracted entry on the IGI. All the others are submitted. Did you find them on Scotland's People also? If I have the right family, the youngest of the children would already be 26 years old in 1841, so they may all have left home by then. Do you know whether Ann and James were both still living in 1841? There are an overwhelming number of people with the surname Ross in Tain

and I don't see anyone obvious.

1841 is on FreeCen for this locality, but 1851 is not yet up.

Hi,
thanks to all who responded to my query.
I have realised that Alexander would have migrated by then and all the rest were girls so were probably married anyway. So probably a bit of a futile request at this stage.
I will try to look further into who the girls married and repost this query again at a later stage.
