Two NZ websites byway of ANESFHS

Post by speleobat2 » Thu Mar 06, 2008 1:32 am

Hi there,

Received my new Journal from the ANESFHS and found these two websites noted:

www.oldnewsbios.co.nz

(birth, death, and marriage notices form newspapers with over 14000 names)

and

www.honeastindiaco.com

(Honourable East India Company-includes some birth, marriage and death notices)

The person writing them up said that when he tried the first one, clicking on the links didn't work, but copy/paste them into the address box did and he found a relative!

Carol

Edited: When I just tried the oldnewsbios address it didn't work until I googled it and went from the google site. Try this if the above doesn't work for you:
http://www.oldnewsbios.co.nz/

Thanks Carol,

That’s interesting. I couldn’t find any of my Distants who ended up in N.Z. but I’ve bookmarked the site for later.

Looks like they’ve just made a typo in the Journal because it’s definitely a .co rather than a .com

All the best,
Alan

Never mind Carol,

You can’t win ‘em all.
They only have .co’s so as to confuse people.
