Practice run for 2011 census

Post by AndrewP » Thu Mar 27, 2008 7:37 pm

The next census in Scotland (presumably all of UK) will be on Sunday 27th March 2011 - three years from today. A practice run will be held next year in 40500 households in west Edinburgh.

See http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/scotl ... 3919452.jp for the full story.

All the best,

AndrewP

Hi Andrew,
Are you going to volunteer to be counted? Is there an existing list of the questions that will be asked, or is that still in the planning stages?

Regards,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Although they say participation will be voluntary, I doubt there will be adverts seeking 40500 voluntreer households. I suspect it will mean they will select enough addresses to reach the co-operation of the 40500 required. If my area in south-west Edinburgh is included, then yes I will happily take part.

All the best,

AndrewP
