hello everyone hope I am in the right place I have been researching my Turner roots(Wales) My Grandmothers Brother Richard Mark Turner 1879 killed 1917 married a Harriet Davies from Wrexham they had 4 children the eldest Margaret1902 married a James Izatt 1903 from Edinburgh they went on to have 11 Izatts all in Edinburgh although quite a few of them emigrated next was Thomas Turner1903 he married a Rose they had 6 sons lived in Newcastle Alice turner next1906 dont know much about her then llewellyn Turner1908 he married had 1 daughter and a son named Davies Llewellyn , father LLewellyn fell from a roof in Tranent1960 and died,as you can see they all seemed to stick around the scottish borders(me too i live Coldingham) Does anybody know anything about this family ?11 Izatts all born Edinburgh and the T urner boys Thanks Bernadine

Off the top of my head, all I can offer is that I would not be at all surprised if your Izatts were from over the water in Fife originally...it is quite a frequently occurring surname in the Dunfermline, Limekilns and Charlestown areas.

Hi Bernadine, i came across your post last night having just been looking up the Izatt's as we do from time to time. I'm sure you have heard from someone about your search for the Edinburgh Izatts as i notice your post was from some five years ago. The Margaret Turner and James Izatt you spoke about were my grandparents, my father was one of the 11 Izatt children born in Edinburgh, i find that amazing, if you already have the info you were seeking that is good, but i never knew much about Margaret as she died when i was quite young, she was quite fiery by all accounts, i would be very interested to see what info you have. We have a family tree on my grandfather's side if you're interested.
