ANSWERED 1881 Census Barony = Milton?

ANSWERED 1881 Census Barony = Milton?

Using SP, a person is shown as being in the Civil Parish of Barony, Glasgow.

Using Ancestry, the same person is shown as being in the Civil Parish of Milton! I have no doubt that it is the same person.

Presumably, Barony and Milton cover the same or overlapping areas in Glasgow.

Can someone confirm this, please?

Hi Hugo,

Barony should be the civil parish. Milton should be the registration district (and maybe also quoad sacra parish).
