I've never heard of 'The Glasgow News' Ann - are you sure that's what the publication is called?

Yes - it seems to have been some kind of free paper posted through letterboxes every week or so. I'd never heard of it either.

There was a paper named the Evening News in Glasgow. The other evening papers were the Glasgow Times and the Citizen. The usual cry
of the street vendors was "Times-News-Citi"
