I found details of a John Gillan living at 15 Grace Street, Partick in 1875 in a family prayer book. Just started looking at family history.
Sorry, but dont know what age he was at the time or what he did for a living. Could he be in the 1881 or 1871 census at this address or perhaps eleswhere in Glasgow. According to a relative he may be aged between 20 and 50 certainly an adult. I suppose he could be any age. Any suggestions or help. Many thanks
Rupert

The censuses from 1841 to 1911 are available on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk on a pay per view basis. Have you had a look there?
All the best,
AndrewP
