The databases on americanancestors.org , the website of the New England Historic Genealogical Society based in Boston, Massachusetts, will be free from now through the 13th of April [Edit: it has been extended through April 20]. As the name suggests, there are many records from New England, but there are also some from other states as well as Canada, Ireland, etc. Many Scots settled in this area, so I thought it was a good idea to bring this to the attention of this forum. I have certainly traced many Scots through the BMDs in Massachusetts, Vermont and Connecticut with the help of this website.
