Hi All,

I have just been given this website by my B-in-Law and as he is doing the English side of the family I haven't look at it.The address is
www.spatial-literacy.org

Its been put together by the University College London. Ypu might experience delays but persevere and you will get a result, I am told.
You get a country wide profile of where surnames are most prevalent.

Don't know if this will be of any use but thought I would pass it on

Hi Wini

Thanks for the link. My grandmother's family came from Cornwall ( they emigrated in 1884). In 1881, the name was only found in a small part of Cornwall & according to this site it had completely gone by 1998!

(It still exists in Australia - perhaps they all emigrated).
