Free Cen find .....

Post by momat » Sun Feb 26, 2006 5:39 am

I don't know if this is breachimg any copyrights ,but it may help someone who is looking for a Soldier.

While searching for a John Hart on Free Cen 1941 up popped all of the soldiers attached to EDINBURGH CASTLE.Strangely most were Irish and English.I guess they were on overseas posting
Maybe someone knowledgeable can find a way to add it to the Resources posted here if its permitted .

Cheers

I was getting intrigued.

I once had a cheque returned by the bank. It had been written immediately after some intensive days of research at NRH. The bank politely pointed out that I'd written 1888 instead of 1988 :!:

Ah, Momat, now i sigh! There I was thinking I would find ma ain mither in a census at the Castle, watching Hess being incarcerated, and it´s all demolished in front of my eyes. Just one figure askew. And yes she was Scottish. Not.......

Oh so sorry that I gave so many people Palpatations.

As you say the correct digit makes a difference.

At least we now know that there are folk out there who do thoroughly read postings.
