She is described as unmarried & the children are 1Graham 2Cooper-my Grandfather was James Cooper Waddell& 3Thomas Waddell.
No sign of Alexander & I am now wondering where the heck was he?They must have been in touch again shortly thereafter as by 1861 there is a nine year old amongst the children & they are called Waddell although Jane Graham is missing.
Solved the mystery of who my GGGrandfather was living with in 1881 it was his half-sister& her Father was William Sommerville although she didn't take his name.I wonder why she didn't take her step'father's name as her brother did & nobody would have known about her illegitemacy which is not declared anyway!
