Can anyone do a check for me? .....

Can anyone do a quick check for a William Greenlees (age 9 -10) in the 1871 census?

I can't use anymore money on SP for a while. I am asking as I may have found a relative of mine on Genes Reunited and she said that she was descended from one of their other sons and I wish to check if its the same name.

The following info on William Greenlees on 1871 census:

Living at 54 Manse Street, Renfrew

Agnes, wife, age 34 born Paisley
William, son, age 9 born Paisley
Ewen, son, age 7 born Paisley
Elizabeth, dau, age 4 born Renfrew
Agnes, dau, age 3months, born Renfrew

This record was continued from previous page, so hope you know the head of household.

Sorry its took me a while to reply.

The place is likely Midlothian (Possibly Inveresk). The parents were William Greenlees and Jane Fairnie. They also had a son Andrew in 1861.

Hi Pandabean

I ran a parent check in the IGI and found a number of children for William Greenlees and Jane Farnie Born in Midlothian Inveresk

Among them were:
Andrew Greenlees Born 1861
William Greenlees Born 1859
Margaret Greenlees Born 1870

You can see more for yourself by running a parent check on IGI.
If you want I can check on SP for you for the 1871 Census. if this isn't enough.

Hmm, when I ran the check with the parents and came up with the following:

1. ANDREW GREENLEES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 30 MAY 1861 Inveresk With Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland

2. JOHN GREENLEES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 12 NOV 1865 Inveresk With Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland

3. MICHAEL GREENLEES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 09 JUL 1864 Inveresk With Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland

4. MARGARET GREENLEES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 29 MAY 1870 Inveresk And Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland

5. JOSEPH GREENLEES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 05 APR 1863 Inveresk With Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland

6. NANCY GREENLEES - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Birth: 29 DEC 1867 Inveresk With Musselburgh, Midlothian, Scotland

There was no William present in this list, if you don't mind it would be a great help to do a census check in 1871.
