Potter family - Kate born in Welwyn Garden City .....

Kate Potter daughter of William Potter and Florence Prior. Kate was born in 1904 in Welwyn Garden City one of 10 children. Florence had 2 boys prior to marrying William Potter they were Edward and William. William and Florence's children were Kate, Charles, Alice, Florence (Cookie), Nelson, Edie, Napoleon (Joey), and Jack.

I would appreciate some assistance with the 1891 census where I believe there are the following records.
William Potter 20 Shiney Row 1891 Census Houghton le Spring
William Potter 21 Harraton 1891 Census Chester le Street
William Potter 18 Pelton 1891 Census Chester le Street

Both William and Florence are proving to be a mystery. I know they existed I have a photo!!!!!

I would appreciate any assistance.

I've tried searching on FreeBMD using wild cards - that site frustrates me no end.

William Potter age 20 Shineyrow
the 1891 census shows he was a coal miner adopted son
head of household is a William age 61 joiner
wife mary 61

William Potter 20 Harraton chester le street
is a coal miner lodger
a martha Potter age 19 also lodger
they are both recorded as married but it dosen't say wife (so to each other or not?)
a Richard Charlton is the head of household

william Potter 18 Pelton parents George a miner age 55
wife mary ann age 51.

hope you get them okay
as for marriages the only one i can see at the moment is as follows using 1890-

1915 William Potter marrying a florence Prior
in Poplar ( spans the counties of London & middlesex)
volume 1c page 782
found on bmd.

I'm not very good with these searches so prehaps one of the others on site looking at this will have a bash at it for you.
