Hi Tracy
Do you know what happens with the pay per view once your time is up or you've used up your credits? Reason I ask is I've recently heard a couple of horror stories regarding ancestry etc where folk have had difficulty contacting them to cancel their subs etc. I know of one person who eventually had to change their bank details because of it.

Have a look here Fiona - various experiences with Ancestry recounted :

viewtopic.php?t=3303&highlight=ancestry+subscription

I haven't used pay per view, but I'd have thought once your credits were up that would be an end of it. I think it's the subscriptions that can cause problems.

Best wishes

PS if you want to post details, I will have look on Ancestry for you.

I never had a problem with them. As all you want is pay per view there should be no problem as your credits are only going to last a short time anyway. Even if you were thinking of going for the quarterly option i would still say go for it works out far cheeper. The reason most people have problems with Ancestry and cancelling - at the risk of another debate on this - is because they dont read the Terms and Conditions.

This http://www.uk1871census.com/ leads you on to the Genealogist. I think you can pay per view on that if you dont fancy Ancestry
