1841 Census Angus .....

If someone has access to 1841 Census for Angus would it be possible to tell me the relationship of Elexie Imirie aged 20 to the rest of the household particularly Janet Crow aged 40. They are in the village of Balbirne in the parish of Ruthven. Thank you

The unfortunate thing about the 1841 census is that it does not show relationships.

One way of finding out would be to look at the 1851 census and if they are still in the same household, the relationship should be shown.

Unfortuanatley the 1841 Census doesn't give relationships. They can only be "guessed at" by the ages and position on the Census of people living at a same address.

Thanks didn't realise that. Elexie Imirie married to someone else by then and then dies before Statutory Records so I know very little about her. Her name is Alexa/Alexandrina Crow and she marries John Glen.
