Ships that arrived in Queensland 1883 .....

Post by Dennis » Thu Apr 13, 2006 3:59 am

Hi:)

I'm trying to find a passenger list for the ship Eldorado which departed Plymouth, England May 9th 1883 arrived Brisbane June 26th 1883. The ship travelled via Cooktown & other Ports south to Brisbane.

There is note of a film M1699 Immigration (imm/188)

This film would be at the Qld Archives Dennis.
If you know the name of someone on board they would be in the index here http://www.archives.qld.gov.au/research ... ration.asp
if an assisted immigrant.

The amount of information on these lists can vary greatly. Some have only the passenger names. Others have age, occupation, where from, sponser.

The archives do have some copying services available - contact details
