Hi Janette,
A tricky one. Any chance you could upload the whole page in the original format it was downloaded (presumably "tif"). The whole page may give more clues of the enumerator's handwriting of particular letters that do not show up on the section that you have uploaded.
All the best,
AndrewP

Hi Janette,
The best I can make from it is Caitsford or Caitspore - do either of these that make any sense?
All the best,

Hi folks,
The 1861 index i looked at has Margaret as GARTSHORE.
(but it does look like a 'P' in the middle - not an 'H')

I agree with januk. I searched for Marg*t *t*p* age 26, High Church and found one match. It narrowed down to Margrat Gartspow, female.
Unfortunately there are no other records on SP for the surname Gartspow so presumably it's a misspelling.

Hi januk
I'm agreeing with Jack and saying GARTSHORE. You'll find a likely candidate in 1841 in Rutherglen. I can't prove however that her mother is a sister to Mary BLACKWOOD....just got a hunch. Looks like both parents were dead by 1851.
Best wishes
Jean
