Troop Carrier W.W.1

Post by Joan 65 » Fri May 12, 2006 12:18 am

Good Morning,

I am trying to find a picture of:

S.S. ANGLO CANADIAN

A troop carrier in W.W.1
My GFather served in the Royal Irish Rifles, and shipped to France aboard the above.

Many thanks,

Joan

Joan,
I did a " Google" search fo "S S Anglo Canadian" and there are 2
sites with a Muster Roll and information to share.
I think you might find help there.
Cheers.
Maureen

Troup Carrier W.W.1

Post by Joan 65 » Fri May 12, 2006 10:48 pm

Hi Maureen and Hugh,

Thank you for your quick replies to my email!
However, I know there were TWO S.S. ANGLO CANADIAN ships,
but only the FIRST one was a W.W.1 troop carrier.
I am sure it had another name first, but was quickly converted to a troop carrier, and received a name change.
