Hi Mark

Was Mary's maiden name CASEY?? If so then a parent search on the IGI will give you a list of their children. And one was born in May 1871 High Church Glasgow so good chances they were in the same area as 1861.......

Hi Mark,
This might be the family still in Glasgow 1881? If so, then a fair chance they were there in 1871.
Ages are fairly consistent, so search on Peter, Sara(h), or Duncan.

Hi Jack,
Thats definately them. Peter was a tincase maker and he was born in Stirling. I think he died in 1884. I did have the death cert but cant find it now. Thats how i knew his mother was a Spence. I think his father Duncan remarried to a Margaret Matherson.
Cheers for your help. If you need any English census looking up, only too willing as we have ancestry.
Mark
